How to create & manage opportunities in pdwise

This guide provides step-by-step instructions on how to create and manage opportunities in pdwise. It explains how to create a new opportunity, assign contacts, manage stages and statuses, input opportunity value, and assign an owner. This guide is useful for anyone using pdwise to track and manage their sales process, as it helps optimise workflow and organisation within the CRM.

Step 1: Log in to your pdwise account.

Step 2: Click "Opportunities" on the main navigation panel (left hand side).

Step 3: At the top you can toggle between "Opportunities" & "Pipelines".

Pipeline = Your businesses internal sales process

Opportunities = Your businesses individual deals

Step 4: Here's an example of what your pipeline could look like. The pdwise team will help you create this pipeline.

If you ever wanted to change the names, you could do so by editing the pipeline at any time (keep in mind it might interrupt your automations and you should speak to the pdwise team first).

Step 5: Click this icon to create a new "Opportunity".

Step 6: Begin by selecting a "Contact" to assign the opportunity to. If the contact already exists within the CRM they will appear when you type them into this box.

Step 7: You can move an opportunity between deal stages in your sales process by editing the "Stage" details. A dropdown will appear, select the one which relates to the current status of the opportunity you are working on.

Step 8: When editing "Status" this will help you manage the progress of the opportunity you are working on.

OPEN = Means you are still working on it and the deal is active

ABANDON = The deal is stuck or no longer interested

LOST = The deal is lost and and you should close it

WON = The deal is done

Step 9: Under "Opportunity Value" you are able to type in the value of the deal you are working on.

For example if you are providing a removalist service and the quote value is $1,500, go ahead and type this in. This is a good practise and when put in place will reflect in your CRM dashboard so you can track revenue and conversion rates.

Step 10: Under "Owner" we recommend you select the person to whom the opportunity relates.

If there are multiple people working in the business using the CRM or managing the sales department, this feature will help you identify who is working on what.

Step 11: When you have finished entering all the relevant information above, click "Create" and finalise the opportunity.
